1_345 Secrets of Thai Taste @ The Elitist

Mookata for the second time, now with my sporting friend, A!! Thank you for coming all the way down to meet me after work for dinner. I have to admit, I did forget our meeting. I am so sorry!

I swear I'm the world laziest friend ever, thus I always come up with the most genius way of solving the issue. Perhaps that's how geniuses are cultivated, lazy by nature! I'm just kidding. I knew for sure she wouldn't know how to walk to my workplace (and I'm not very willing to walk to the bus stop and then walk back to my office) so I took pictures of how-to-get-to-The-Elitist-building on my way to work from school. Tell me I'm smart. I know I am. Or tell me I'm nice. Either one I will graciously accept.

1. Alight at Burgundy Hill bus stop.
2. Walk towards this hole.
3. Continue going on straight.
4. Go to the barriers where there's a human walkway.
Be careful of cars!
5. Footprints are the for a reason. Follow.
6. Now you can breathe fresh air! Go towards the brown building.
7. YOU'VE ARRIVED!

This is perhaps the most comprehensive directions I ever given any people. It worked and she found her way to my office cause I was still finishing up some last minute task from my boss, which was calling China candidates. Her first reaction was, 'Why are you speaking in Chinese?' Okay can.

Mookata! S$39 for two pax.

I forgot to take a shot of the menu. There's a set meal selection which is S$32.80 (for two to three pax), or you can choose ala carte (our choice) but minimum it must be more than S$32.

I haven't been round and bout to try other Mookata. The meat and soup here is daebak, and directly beneath my work building. I got so bloated from drinking too much soup whereas A was the one eating everything. Bad habit of mine. Side note, they claimed to have non-MSG soup but I always need a drink right after. Guess it's not as what it claimed to be?

We managed to finish almost all the food after 2.5 hours! Insane, I know. Trust me, this is the place to talk nonsense and not care about the world.

Major thumbs up for this place, though the service wasn't top-notch. I do think price is reasonable because my other friends commented saying Mookata is on the pricey side. If you're tight budget, you may consider the chinese steamboat-grill style behind Bugis Street (not very hygienic though but super cheap).
