Bangkok Day 1 - Big C, Siam

Major major throwback to my Bangkok trip! Been dragging my feet on penning my life down but I'm going to do it. Like now. And after this I need to get ALL the photos ready for my friend, else she'll hunt me down already. *Stress* Haha. One at a time, one at a time.

Last year, the hiccup was both A and I overslept (she came over to bunk for the night) and S waited for us. This year, we were like saying 'No more oversleeping!' and haha I overslept. This is going to be like a tradition for us. (':

Reached the airport safely! Thank you daddy for the lift!
& ROW 3 OMG!! We're so lucky! It was the 1st time that we got off the plane so fast!
Hi, jetting off! As you can see, someone stole my window seat )';

I think everytime when I travel with this girl, there's always ridiculous things going on. Trust me, you'll be like what-the-heck. (Recalling our first JB trip -_-)

As we were about to land, the air stewardess walked round to pass the immigration slip for visitors like us to fill up. She didn't bother to ask us! Good gracious. She moved so fast and we were panicking (since we're taking the front seats, there's like 30 rows to go and by the time she's through, we might by slip-less you know), so thankfully a Caucasian guy signaled and she finally attended to us. We asked her for the slips. In English, mind you. She still asked us why we wanted them for. *Roll eyes* Hello, can't you differentiate being the English slang? I hope she feel a little embarrassed but she's not.

Made our way to Citin Pratunam Hotel by Airport Link as usual, but the crowd was insane (sardin train). Thank god for A, if not we'd be separated from each other. She managed to get off the train first while I was still stuck in the crowd with my big ass luggage. Malu me was being rather rude and slamming into the humans to make my way out. Heng ah! But not so heng cause we alighted one stop earlier (stupid me for not believing my own itinerary), in the end we took a cab over.

You think that nothing epic would happen on cab right? Hah. First hand experience in the driver bribing traffic police. We were in this alley, so I told the cab to turn and cross the road since Baiyoke is right in front. Apparently it's illegal! Bus lane. We were so afraid that the police would bring us to police station, but lady luck was on our side. Eventually we made it to our hotel and tipped our cab for being so nice.

Yep, this was our first half of Day 1. Please read on for the next half.

Hello from Bangkok!

Since we're gonna be here for 6D5N, we were pretty chill; spent an hr resting before getting our lazy bums out lol. To calm our hungry stomachs, we went to Sabx2 Noodles before proceeding to our usual hangout place, Big C Supermarket. Why? To get necessities for the trip such as cup noodles & snacks & all the what-not.

Our pile of junks
Curious beings like us always get amazed by these pink eggs that we don't see in Sg
Store is opened right outside Big C market

We just .... stopped and started making these cause it's cheap & cool. Definitely not the cheapest (night market around Water Pavilion was way cheaper) but there's aircon and the wait wasn't very long too. I took pretty long to decide since I'm the more hardworking one here, so I customized every single one of them. This A was lazy and she just wrote the name, chose the base color, and left the rest to the maker. BUT, guess how many she made? I think it was 17. Oh m gee. Okay lah, to be fair, I'm more indecisive and pickier than her. Definitely a positive trait of hers. *Winks*

Moving on, as dear Singaporeans, we just have to pop by Naraya (opposite Big C). Spent a good while there before we decided to hop on to a tuk tuk to head off to Siam.

Wanna guess what epic thing happen? A was prepping the $ from the pouch to pay the driver, and the wind was so strong that one of the notes flew away. We were both trying to grasp hold of what happen and when we realized it's money that flew off ...... Epic moment! Heng it was only 100 baht because she said that if it's 1000 baht, she'd have flew down the tuk tuk and ran after it.

Just when we were commenting on how lucky the two students were to have picked up A's flyaway money, they shouted and ran towards our tuk tuk to return us! Awwwww. Such kind hearted people. Well, we managed to recoup our 100 baht loss. Seriously, lady luck was on our side. *Hugs*

Massage time, cheap cheap 250 baht!

Epic thing at massage? Of course!! A's masseur was a male and he either was being really hardworking and exerting crazy force, or he was just taking advantage of A. When she had the shoulder massage, the guy crossed his legs over A and 'hugged' her? R21 can!?! My female masseur did not perform that stunt on me.

But A said it felt good so ..... lets just take it as he was doing his job well. A clap for him.

Booze!

Since the last time we didn't manage to try Thai beer, we took advantage and decided to try all the basic beers in bkk. First up, Chang beer!

I tell you, trying to drink a beer also can be epic y'know! I'm not talking about drinking games, we didn't play that. By just trying to get this open was epic enough! I told A to get the bottled ones because they look 'cooler' and she said she had a way to open them without bottle opener. As I have witnessed my own bf opening it as easy as abc, so why not? Seriously, smart us. There's nothing sturdy in the hotel room that we could use. I saw that the dressing table had bents which seemed as though people tried to open bottles that way, so I tried. We made a new dent *shhhh* but the bottle cap refused to bulge. So A went to use a spoon to manually open a little by a little. Hey hey, don't judge. It was a success! Only that being the 'helpful' one, I decided to attempt opening myself. Haha I ended up with injury. Thank you A for making the booze consumable!

And ... CHEERS!
