Honey Creme @ 313 Somerset

This store replaced Gong Cha's spot and now is fuming with people, just like Llao Llao. Having to run errands in town, bf and I popped by to see if it's worth the hype. There's a queue (not as long as Llao Llao because their service is much efficient) and I would highly recommend not to brace this in the heat because you're not in air-conditioned area.

It only took us about 15 minutes or so to reach the cashier and another 5 minutes to queue to get our ice-cream. The queue was pretty fast because there's not much variation as compared to Llao Llao, and the limited selections.

Honestly, even if you're standing by the cashier, this menu is too small to even read!
There's three person serving each order at a go, so the queue moves really really fast.
Honey Creme Honeycomb - S$5.90
Honey Creme Organic Cotton Candy Affogato - S$6.20
A shot of Nespresso Coffee

So right after we collected our order, we headed out and I was already on my phone snapping away. I'm not the kind who is that precise about angles etc., so usually it only takes me less than a minute to complete this whole Instagram phototaking thing. And y'know what? The ice-cream started to melt. I guess this is really a soft served ice-cream. Pun intended.

Photos are deceiving. As you've seem above, the cup looked really big like Llao Llao's right? That's bullshit. It's probably McDonald's sundae ice-cream cup size. For the price, this is daylight robbery. In my case, nighttime robbery.

I'm not a fan of the honey used in Honeycomb. This is just my personal preference. My bf loves it, not me though. Honey aside, the ice-cream itself didn't have the 'wow' factor. Creamy, yes. Milky, yes. What else? Nothing. Would I enjoy the ice-cream on it's own? *Shakes head*

As for the Cotton Candy Affogato, the cotton candy is just mediocre. Probably more for decoration. The cheaper alternative for this is cotton candy from bazaar topping over McDonald's cone ice-cream. Seriously! However, the ice-cream with the espresso shot was really delicious. Honestly I think because it's Nespresso. Geez, my bf is going to be over the moon when I'm saying this. We are so gonna buy sundae ice-cream without the chocolate and pour the espresso over. Works the same.

Honey Creme's  soft served ice-cream on its own isn't fantastic. It needs outside flavors to make it better. That price for that size? Um, I rather pop by Llao Llao, queue a little longer in air-con, pay the same price and get bigger serving. Sorry, it's a big no-no to Honey Creme for us. Way too overrated.
