Last last Saturday, bf and I were invited to The Find's soft launch by Chef Andre, bf's army friend. I am always impressed with people with big dreams, and this is one of the handful that I really admire. Chef Andre cooks brilliant food. The first time I tasted his cooking was over at Rendezvous Hotel Balzac. It was ...... Bf and I kept wanting to go back for seconds but it's too pricey, well duh, and we couldn't really afford it.
Both of us were really looking forward to this because the food at The Find is much more affordable! Though less fancy but does that really matter? Cheap food, good ambiance, damn we're sold. The Find is a Italian restaurant with a modern spin to its concept. I find the place a little too chilly so it's a must to bring a shawl or cardigan to stay warm.

Hot chocolate.
I have a thing for extremely milky, not so chocolatey, moderate sweetness for hot chocolate. This isn't what I generally like, but the biscuit saved the whole drink. I mean, if you love the normal hot chocolate, this would be a dig for you. Not me. But I'd order for the biscuit. Oh the biscuit ....
Starters - Corn Chowder Soup (I think); Sweet and creamy but not icky sick.
Fries; Lobster Risotto; Wild Mushroom Truffle Risotto.
Obviously this was my pick. That grated truffle was so GOOD. Best Wild Mushroom Risotto in Singapore yet.
Carbonara in Penne.
Chocolate Lava cake with Raspberry sauce.
This is as good, if not better than St Jones' cafe in Bangkok. Even without ice-cream, the chocolate is so moist and rich, but not overpowering sweet. Bf surprisingly love the raspberries too! He's not a berries person so that explains alot.
Duo Panna Cotta with Honey Lemon Sauce.
Doesn't the name just makes you curious? The appearance doesn't look that appetizing probably because I requested them not to add pistachio (fyi I despise nuts). This is different, really. The honey lemon brought the whole panna cotta to life. Gosh I'm definitely going back for this again!
I'm kind of disappointed that Chef Andre didn't bring in the creme brulee which was served in Balzac. Bf said that he might do seasonal menu changes, so I'm having hopes in him putting that in the menu soon!
Triple dates for the night + Chef Andre! Thanks for having us!
I can't remember the exact prices for the mains, but it's between S$14 to S$22 for the pastas and below S$45 for the meats. Super affordable for a hotel chef quality food, do check this place out when you're in the vicinity! Highly recommended.
